When you don't have the time or the ability to visit your doctor's office for medical care, you can turn to telehealth. The exceptional team at Metroderm DC: Medical, Laser, and Aesthetic Dermatology Center offers telehealth to new and existing patients, giving you the ability to videoconference with your doctor, receive medical care, and be prescribed medication while staying in the comfort of your own home.
Appointment Policy

Patients are seen by appointment only. Please inform the staff if you feel that you have an urgent problem when you call to schedule an appointment. If your insurance company requires a referral please bring the referral or ensure that it is in our office prior to the date of your appointment.
If you are a new patient, or have not had a visit in the past year, please arrive at least 15 minutes early to fill out a questionnaire and allow the staff time to make a new chart for you.If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment please let us know at least one business day ahead of time.

Telephone Calls

We are happy to answer your questions, but may be unavailable when you call. In that event we ask that you leave your full name and a telephone number where you can be reached. Calls in the morning are generally returned between 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Calls in the p.m. are returned late in the afternoon or the next day.
Prescription Refills
Report
You will receive a written prescription during your office visit. If you need a prescription refill, please call with the name of the medication and the pharmacy name and phone number. Prescriptions will be called in within 24-48 hours of being authorized by the doctor. If prior authorization is required by your insurance there may be an additional delay.
Insurance

We participate in a number of insurance plans. For those plans, we submit the insurance claim form and ask that you pay any required co-pay and for any service that would not be covered by your insurance i.e. cosmetic procedures that are not medically necessary as determined by your insurance company.
