Carleton, my husband, and I started Affinity Stoneworks in 1997 to serve the natural stone countertop market. Quickly, clients began to ask for assistance with more than new countertops. From requests for cabinets, sinks, tile, and appliance recommendations, to lighting, flooring, utility relocation, ventilation, appliance re-connections, hardware and accessories, the depth and scope of services requested by our clients expanded rapidly.

And we responded. We recruited very talented people to augment the core Affinity Stoneworks countertop fabrication team. We invested in additional equipment, inventory and facilities to create an environment in which our expanded team of designers, stone artisans, craftspeople, project managers and schedulers could work unfettered by a lack of creative or production resources.

Quartz Countertops
Report
Quartz countertops are engineered stones that combine, on average, 93% ground quartz mineral with resin and pigment. The resulting materials are solid, very rigid, non-porous, easy to clean, and resistant to typical sources of stains such as juices, cooking oils, wine, and coffee. Quartz countertops are also inherently sanitary because they're non-porous, so potential contaminants remain on the surface where they can be neutralized easily.
Quartzite Countertops
Report
Quartzite is a natural stone formed when quartz-rich sandstone is subjected to the intense heat and pressure typically occurring between intersecting tectonic plates within the Earth's crust. Those conditions recrystallize the sand grains and silica, creating a matrix of interlocking quartz crystals that's incredibly strong.
Marble Countertops

Favored by ancient Greek and Roman architects, marble has represented a tradition of refined culture for thousands of years, that tradition epitomized by the Parthenon perched high above Athens within the promontory of the Acropolis.

Of course the Taj Mahal, commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and clad entirely in marble, is another wondrous example of historic buildings revered worldwide for their elegant beauty and innovative use of marble.Today, marble remains a prominent choice for grand public buildings as well as residences around the world.
