Federal law (42 CFR 483.15) requires that all skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) provide "medically related social services to attain or maintain the highest practicable resident physical, mental and psychosocial well-being" (source: National Association of Social Workers). Therapeutic Recreation

The mission of the Therapeutic Recreation division is to meet the needs of physically, mentally, and socially challenged individuals, as well as, the general population, focusing on reintegrating, restoring, and increasing leisure skills, leisure awareness, and leisure participation. Here at Sutton Park Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation, our Director of Therapeutic Recreation is a C.T.R.S. qualified professional.
