I had an initial session with Lise Deguire, Psy.D. soon after my long-term psychologist moved far from my home. When I first called to inquire, I informed Lise Deguire that I have bipolar disorder type 1 and issues with anxiety. During our meeting, I spent 10 minutes filling out paperwork. She then asked approximately six questions. I mentioned my main therapy goals and that I was currently on disability. I was definitely not in crisis, and she even said that I was a pleasant woman. At the end, she stated that she would be unable to accept me as a client because she felt I needed a therapist

I felt comfortable with Dr. Deguire from the first time I met her. Very warm and smart. She has helped me through some very tough times. She is supportive but also helps you change what you need to change.
