History of Acupuncture
Report
Acupuncture existed in many ancient cultures. The Egyptians, Phoenicians, Romans, and Galls used acupuncture for the treatment of several ailments. Today the World Health Organization recognize acupuncture for many different diseases, disorders and syndromes. The ancient Chinese are credited with the real development of this healing art.
Herbology
Report
One difference of utilizing whole natural herbs is that the action tends to be buffered by the complex nutrition in the whole herb. Drug companies will isolate what they believe is the only active ingredient and greatly increase it's potency. However, the chances of side-effects is greatly increased.
Nutrition
Report
Consuming a variety of whole natural foods, based on your tolerance, is always encouraged. Eating more organic, non-GMO, range fed, locally grown foods, is preferable. We believe that every body has their own individual nutritional needs. At conception we all start with our individual genes blood type and then growth.
Exercise
Report
Exercise is one of the major components of Oriental Medicine. For thousands of years, people did more manual work and had to walk more. In our modern world we tend to move less. Many of our jobs involve sitting for longer periods. In Oriental Medicine, if the "qi" and "blood" is not sufficiently moved then, stagnation and dis-ease can follow.
