Radon Testing

Radon is a radioactive gas. It is everywhere, even in outdoor air, but it is found in high levels in many homes in Central New York. Radon tests are often performed during Syracuse home inspections. At Brightside we use electronic radon testing equipment (Continuous Radon Monitor, aka CRM) and are a NY state licensed radon laboratory.
Thermal Imaging

Since a significant portion of a home is hidden behind walls and ceilings there are obvious limitations to a standard home inspection. An infrared camera (or thermal camera) is not x-ray vision, so it doesn't see though walls, but it does see hot and cold spots on walls (and other surfaces) by recognizing slight temperature variations.
