Eva was born in Abilene, Texas to Siprino and Teodora (Moreno) Mendez, but raised in Baird, Texas where she graduated from Baird High School in 1990. She immediately left Baird to attend school in Dallas, at the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, graduating in 1991-1992 with a degree in Mortuary Science and becoming licensed through the Texas Funeral Service Commission with a Funeral Directors and Embalmers license.
