CPT – Cone Penetration Testing

Geo-Ex has both track and truck mounted rigs to perform cone penetration testing. Our largest rig has 30 tons of pushing capacity, which gives us the ability to push the cone to depths necessary for foundation design. If required for the design, Geo-Ex can use a seismic cone to obtain shear wave velocity values for the soil profile under investigation.
Hollow Stem Auger

Geo-Ex utilizes a range of hollow stem auger. We have dry coring systems if continuous cores are desired during advancement, as well as center bits for discreet sampling intervals. If decontamination is needed between holes, Geo-Ex can provide a decon trailer. Geo-Ex has the following hollow stem auger sizes.
Rock Coring

Geo-Ex performs rock coring services routinely. We core on landslides, dams and many other projects when rotary and auger tools are unable to penetrate. We have wireline (triple tube) coring systems for deeper projects, as well as conventional coring systems that attach to drill rods when confirmation cores are needed.
Rotary Wash Drilling
Report
Geo-Ex performs rotary wash projects weekly. We have designed simple systems that enable us to switch from auger to rotary wash in a matter of minutes. Our approach is to keep diameters down to a minimum for faster production, less water usage, less drum usage, and overall cleanliness. Many of our projects are performed in traffic control with restricted hours.
