Services
Axles Complete with Hubs
Report
Axles come complete with super lube hubs on 4 lug and vortex hubs on 5 & 6 lug axles. Note: Spring axles may need to be drilled for installation. Super Lube Axles have a 1 year limited warranty. Vortex hubs have a 6 year "no touch" warranty. Each time before towing check lug nuts for proper tightness.
Bearings & Accessories
Report
Most Road King Trailers are equipped with the "posi lube" bearing lubrication system. We suggest each time before towing to simply remove the grommet from the bearing dust cap and fill with a lithium based marine grease with a grease gun. If excessive grinding sound comes from the hubs, have the bearings and all internal parts replaced by a qualified trailer repair center before towing.
Fenders & Undercarriages
Report
Note: On aluminum fenders all fender holes will need to be drilled (unless ordering the slotted fenders). When ordering poly fenders please have tire size & shape of lights inset in the fender. If you have round lights and 13 tires you will need part# SPF13. If you have rectangular lights & 13 tires you will need part # SPFTD13 or # BPFTD13.
Hydraulic Brake Actuators
Report
Make sure fluid level is always approximately 3/8 below top of the reservoir. Use only DOT 3 brake fluid. Trailers that are equipped with "disc brakes" require a 5-prong trailer harness. The 5th wire is red in color and is to be hooked up to the back-up lights of the towing vehicle. This allows the trailer to be backed up freely without damaging the trailer brakes.
Trailer Accessories
Report
Road King Trailers are equipped with safety cables at the front of the trailer. Make sure there is slack for cornering. These cables attach to your towing vehicles hitch and are required in the event of trailer / towing vehicle separation. It is required by law to "cross" the cables under the coupler.
