When you visit Tunnel Hill you stand inside the rocks of the Knapp's Hill Tunnel just up the hill. Our stone tasting room was built from the rubble blasted to construct the tunnel in 1937, and has endured the many years.

Since 2001 we have been patiently transforming former farm land to vineyards, and a simple stone cottage into a gathering place for friends, family and fine wine. We have learned a lot about the land, the wine it creates, and our own roles in the middle.

At Tunnel Hill we like to think that we let our grapes speak for themselves. The grapes for our flagship wines-Riesling, Syrah, and Pinot Noir-come from 7 acres of vineyards that were planted starting in 2001 on our family land on the south shore of Lake Chelan. With the more recent additions of Viognier, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, we currently use approximately 95% of our own fruit for our wine production.

We couldn't do this without our wonderful staff who truly are our "face".

We are excited to have you visit and want all our guests to feel like family. We welcome people to enjoy our grounds which include 10 acres of estate vineyards, our Waterfall Garden and the original stone buildings built in 1937 which give us our name. We are currently open for tasting by reservation Thursday through Monday 12-5pm in our Waterfall Garden and Patio.
