Our story begins in 1969 when Smokey and Janet Robinson moved to Ocala from Hawthorne after a fire destroyed their business. They moved close to Janet's parents and Smokey began working for his father-in-law, Odell Sheppard, owner of Sheppard's Well Drilling. This is where Smokey learned everything he knows about the well industry.
