KJ Dance Designs

KJ Dance Designs, founded in 1993 by Kristy Ulmer Blakeslee, has dedicated over three decades to cultivating excellence in dance education across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Our mission centers on nurturing individual growth through the art of dance, emphasizing values like grace, poise, selflessness, and leadership. With two state-of-the-art facilities in Plano and Frisco, Texas, we provide comprehensive training programs for dancers of all ages and skill levels, from recreational enthusiasts to pre-professional performers. Our faculty combines technical expertise with innovative teaching methods to create a dynamic learning environment that extends beyond dance, fostering life skills such as teamwork, accountability, and time management. The studios unique culture, known as #THEKJWAY, builds a strong sense of community where students form lasting relationships with peers and mentors.

We offer diverse opportunities including competitive tracks, summer intensives, and performance showcases that challenge students to reach their personal best. Recognized by the New York City Dance Alliance as an Outstanding Studio, our commitment to versatility and excellence in training remains unwavering. Parents consistently praise our emphasis on character development alongside technical mastery, creating a supportive space where dancers thrive artistically and personally. Through annual events like the 33rd Annual KJ Dance Concert, we celebrate our students achievements while maintaining rigorous standards of performance. As a family-oriented studio, we prioritize open communication and engagement, offering resources like our private KJ Dance Facebook Group to keep families connected.
