Manhattan High School for Girls, in partnership with the parent body, is committed to developing within each student three pillars of excellence - spiritual, intellectual and social - to condition success in her current and future roles and produce a happy, self-fulfilled individual. Spiritually, we strive to instill in our students a love for Hashem, a devotion to a Torah lifestyle, and adherence to Halacha.
We commit to cultivating within each student pride in her role as a Jewish woman and in her heritage. Our Judaic programs promote responsibility to the Klal, chibas Eretz Yisrael, and introspective character development. Intellectually, we emphasize textual comprehension accompanied by critical analysis.

The General Studies Educational Vision
Report
This is my favorite educational philosophy! Indeed, the mission of the General Studies curriculum at MHS is shaped by respect for our students' minds and belief that with a cultivated mind, each student can and will achieve great things. Our learning environment is both serious and creative at once.
Principals' Quarterly Messages
Report
Serving as principal of a motivated, goal-oriented cohort of young women is a gift. Perhaps the most stimulating, enjoyable part of my daily routine is the time I spend in the classroom. It is there, in the laboratory of learning that I join my students in the educational process. Through probing queries and shared analysis of topics and texts, we often reveal a kernel of truth and light.
