CT Scan – In Office
Report
Your doctor may determine your X-Ray does not provide enough information about your injury and may order a standing foot CT scan. CT scans provide a complete 3D picture of your bone alignment and joint spaces. The American Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Society recommends standing (weight bearing) imaging, when possible, to get the most accurate assessment of the functional bony anatomy of the foot and ankle.
MRI Scan – In Office
Report
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a safe, totally painless way for us to look into your body. The pictures created during the exam look at the soft tissue and provide information that can improve the diagnosis. You can eat, drink, and take regularly prescribed medications prior to the exam. Since you will be having a leg exam, you can bring some shorts to wear.

The Achilles tendon is the strongest tendon in the human body. Its purpose is to connect the lower leg muscles and calf to the heel of the foot. This tendon is responsible for facilitating all types of movement, like walking and running. Since this tendon provides an enormous amount of mobility to an individual, any injuries inflicted to this tissue should be immediately brought up with a physician to prevent further damage.
