D is a bilingual, licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in ADHD testing, autism screening, and psychological evaluations. Dr. Lavado has extensive training in the assessment of toddlers, children, adolescents, and adults with various neurological, medical, and psychological conditions, and has been working with these populations since 2007.
She is certified in Cross-Battery Assessment, which is an evidence-based approach for identifying Specific Learning Disorder (SLD). Dr. Lavado is also the co-author of the book: Minority and Cross-Cultural Aspects of Neuropsychological Assessment: Enduring and Emerging Trends.

Psycho Educational Evaluations
Report
Psychoeducational testing is conducted when a student is having difficulties in reading, reading comprehension, writing, spelling and/or math. This type of educational evaluation is also used when a student is having difficulty with standardized tests (i.e., FSA, SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT, GMAT, Bar Exam).
Autism Spectrum Evaluations

Autism evaluations are conducted to determine whether or not children meet criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder. These assessments guide appropriate recommendations for treatment and intervention. Failure to make friends (i.e., may be very interested in peers, but not know how to talk, play, or relate with them).
ADHD Evaluations

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) evaluations are conducted when an individual has difficulties focusing on tasks and following instructions. This disorder may cause a child or adult to become easily distracted, hyperactive, impulsive, and/or forgetful. ADHD testing can help guide recommendations for intervention and academic accommodations, which are crucial for ensuring success and adaptive functioning.
Evaluation Process
Report
Dr. Lavado meets with the child's parent or the patient in order to obtain information about the patient's school, medical and developmental history as well as to learn about any social, emotional, or behavioral concerns. Questionnaires and rating scales are then administered to the child's parents and teachers or to the adult patient with the purpose of acquiring a better understanding of the patient's overall functioning.
