Booma Oil has been keeping North Shore residents warm for more than 75 years. Some longtime customers still remember us as Booma-Breed. That's because Roland Booma, our grandfather, founded our company with Dick Breed in 1933. After the partnership was dissolved, we became Booma Oil. In 1933, many homes were still heated with coal.
Heating oil was the latest thing, and it quickly took hold as the home heating fuel of choice. Roland Booma worked until just before his death in 1976, and he passed the company to his son-in-law, Ferdinand (Ted) Carangelo. Today, the company is run by his daughter Lisa Carangelo and his son Theodore (Theo) Carangelo.
