Dr. Sonia Louca has been practicing pediatric dentistry in Coppell since 2001. In early 2011, she took over the practice under its current name, Coppell Dentistry for Kids. Dr. Sonia Louca has extensive hospital training in Pediatric Dentistry.
During her two-year residency at Baylor College of Dentistry-TAMUS, where she received her specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry, she trained at both Children's Medical Center of Dallas and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.While at Baylor, Dr. Louca taught undergraduate dental students at Baylor College of Dentistry.

First Visit

If this is the first time your child has ever been to the dentist, our main priority will be familiarizing him or her with the sights and sounds of our office. Your child will meet Dr. Louca and our friendly staff, tour our office, which includes a SuperSlide Playscape, and then we'll examine your child's teeth.
Preventive Care

As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Louca considers prevention one of the most important things we do. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends all children establish a dental home within 6 months of eruption of the first tooth and no later than 12-months of age. Assessing a child's risk for developing decay is the first step to a healthy mouth.

As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Louca understands that most kids are anxious about trips to the dentist. We use gentle methods and techniques to help ease anxiety, but sometimes we see children who are so fearful that no amount of calming will allow the treatment to be completed. For these select few, as well as medically compromised children, Dr. Louca may recommend sedation dentistry as a treatment option.

Dr. Louca's ultimate goal is to prevent dental issues from arising, but cavities and injuries are sometimes inevitable. We offer restorative services to repair young smiles to optimal function and appearance. A child's smile plays a pivotal role in his or her self-confidence, so we always consider the aesthetics of restorative dentistry and offer modern techniques.
