Raleigh Country Club needed help. The member-owned property was struggling financially and developers were swooning over its desirable central location near downtown Raleigh. To save Donald Ross' final golf course design from extinction, John McConnell acquired the club and the McConnell Golf story began.

What began as the historical preservation of Donald Ross' last design in Raleigh, North Carolina has blossomed into a portfolio of championship golf courses stretching from the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee to the Carolina coast.
