Milwaukee Mental Health Task Force: Advocating for Mental Health Services in Milwaukee
The Milwaukee Mental Health Task Force has been a community leader in mental health advocacy since its formation in 2004. Our organization identifies systemic gaps in mental health care, facilitates service improvements, and amplifies the voices of consumers and families. We operate under three strategic pillars: Policy Analysis and Advocacy, Community Access, and Coalition Growth. Our multidisciplinary membership includes consumer groups, providers, law enforcement, and policymakers who collaborate to address mental health challenges.

We prioritize recovery principles, cultural competence, and stigma reduction while maintaining our founding mission to transform Milwaukee County's mental health landscape through evidence-based advocacy and community engagement.

Community Forums
Monthly forums provide platforms for mental health dialogue between community members and service providers. These meetings feature expert presentations, policy discussions, and opportunities for public comment. Attendees access both in-person and virtual participation options. Forums serve as critical venues for sharing lived experiences and shaping local mental health priorities.
Policy Analysis
