In 1981, Syed and Muneer Hyder left all they knew behind to chase the American Dream. They had left India several years earlier and after spending some time in the United Kingdom, they decided to settle down in College Station, Texas with their young family and high hopes for the future. Muneer Hyder was a teacher whose mission was to positively impact the lives of young children.

Hello BCS Families, I am Ms. Rania and I am excited to be the director of SWLC. I have 15 years of child-care experience and for the past 12 years, I am honored to call Southwood my home away from home. I began my career working with infants and toddlers before moving into the Montessori class where I developed a love of the Montessori philosophy which prompted me to obtain my Montessori Certification in 2011.
