Dr. Adam Foret grew up around animals, spending time with his father, training and caring for their family hunting dogs. As a physician and an avid sportsman, my Dad instilled in me a love for the outdoors, a passion for animals and a medical curiosity that developed into a veterinary career. I love helping to maintain the human-animal bond.

The surgical procedures we perform include Internal Fixation (Bone plating), External Fixation, Stifle Surgeries (including TTA and RidgeStop, and Arthrex Tightrope), FHO, Amputation and bone biopsies. During every procedure, we employ the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially our older or high-risk patients.

The transfusion medicine service at UVH is supported by the on-site Northwest Louisiana Animal Blood Bank. The only community based dog and cat blood bank in the Arklatex region. The transfusion medicine service at UVH provides remote case consultation, supplies screened-prepared dog and cat blood products and accepts referrals for diagnostics and primary case management.
