Wellness Exams
Annual wellness exams detect early health issues through physical assessments, diagnostic tests, and vaccination updates. Our comprehensive evaluations include dental checks, parasite screening, and nutrition counseling to maintain optimal pet health. Preventive care reduces long-term treatment costs while extending pets' lifespans through early intervention.
Emergency Care
Six-day-a-week emergency services address critical conditions like trauma, poisoning, or severe illness. Our equipped facility handles acute injuries and provides immediate diagnostics while offering after-hours referral guidance. Staff monitor vital signs and administer stabilization treatments to improve recovery outcomes for urgent cases.
Pet Boarding
Secure boarding facilities offer supervised housing with daily exercise for dogs and quiet suites for cats. Medical supervision available for special needs pets at $45/night. Reservations require vaccinations and deposits during peak seasons, with amenities including food, bedding, and enrichment activities included in nightly rates.
Laser Therapy
Non-invasive laser treatments reduce inflammation and accelerate healing for arthritis, surgical wounds, and soft tissue injuries. Sessions lasting 15-30 minutes use targeted light waves to stimulate cellular repair without sedation. Particularly beneficial for pets with medication restrictions or chronic pain conditions.
Grooming Services
Professional grooming includes baths, haircuts, nail trims, and ear cleaning using state-of-the-art facilities. Stylists accommodate breed-specific cuts and special requests while maintaining hygiene standards. Services available as standalone appointments or combined with boarding arrangements for convenience.

Brought both my furbabies here. Drove an hour every visit due to how amazing they are. They helped with getting our cats to Hawaii. They did a great job preparing us. They did the research and got it all done… in the right amount of time. One of my cats were nervous during traveling and they gave us some amazing tips. Both cats were amazing on the flight that we got asked if they were sedated a few times (obviously they weren’t). They really helped during a stressful time and will definitely return to them when moving back to Maine in a few years.

We had such a wonderful experience adopting our new pup. The staff is very professional and caring. We live quite a distance from their location but we are more than willing to travel to keep their office as our vet. So very thankful we found Kittery Animal Hospital. We would highly recommend them to our friends and family members. Thank You Kittery Animal Hospital for being so good at what you do. Your passion and love for animals is evident.

I was thankful you were open to be able to groom my dog. I don’t believe you know how to groom a wheaten terrier. I am going to try to put a picture of a previous Grooming and how he came out when you groomed him.the pic on left is how he should look, real fluffy. You cut way too much off his back and tail.

The staff is very caring and concerned every step of the way. The worst possible time for any animal lover comes at the end... when our friends gentle soul must leave us. This time came a week ago today, after 12 loving years. Kittery Animal Hospital, as always, provided exemplary services with the utmost in respect and compassion.
