Check out our Trip Advisor Page for more comments from our great anglers that have fished with LoCo Fly Charters. Wanting to learn more about "Red Fishing" in the salt marshes of the low country, I recently chartered a trip with Captain Mark Nutting of LoCo Fly Fishing Charters of Hilton Head, SC. I chose Captain Mark because of his location and the customer feedback I reviewed.
Captain's Bio
Report
Captain Mark grew up in the northeast United States; cutting his fly fishing teeth on some of the toughest gamefish that swim in the Atlantic. Legends and pioneers of the sport like Bob Popovics, Dave Skok, etc. helped shape his techniques and he has benefited from watching them first hand at various events early in life.

I'm often asked What Redfish flies should I tie for our trip to Hilton Head Island? There are many that work well. The key to a great all-around redfish fly around Hilton Head Island, Beaufort and Savannah are ones that have a certain amount of weight, profile, color, weed-guards and size for the season.
Species
Report
Jack Crevalle- Jack's are ferocious and if you have ever caught on on fly you would understand why. I love catching these fish and we have them migrate through up to 30 pounds. The smaller ones are also fun to catch and we get on them consistently. Tarpon- Also known as the silver king. Tarpon found in our waters in the summertime and into the fall where we target them on both fly and spin.
