Vicky is our Financial Coordinator who has been working for Phillips and Jue Dental since 2005. Tressa is a Registered Dental Hygienist who has been working for Phillips and Jue Dental since 2001.
Mary Ann is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated, with Honors, from the Taft College Dental Hygiene Program. She has been with Phillips and Jue Dental since 2008. Erika is a Registered Dental Assistant who has been working for Phillips and Jue Dental since 2004. Devon graduated from San Joaquin Valley College as a Dental Assistant and is currently working towards completing her RDA.

Four out of five people have periodontal disease and don't know it! Most people are not aware of it because the disease is usually painless in the early stages. Not only is it the number one reason for tooth loss, research suggests that there may be a link between periodontal disease and other diseases such as, stroke, bacterial pneumonia, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and increased risk during pregnancy.
Periodontal disease is diagnosed by your dentist or dental hygienist during a periodontal examination. This type of exam is a part of your regular dental check-up at Phillips and Jue Dental of Bakersfield, Ca. A periodontal probe (small dental instrument) is gently used to measure the sulcus (pocket or space) between the tooth and the gums.

Probably the BEST dental office I have been too. HOWEVER, the front office ladies, especially Vicky, are nothing but rude and lack customer service AND documentation. As I told Vicky about a previous conversation RECORDED on voicemail about an insurance issue, she refuses to admit what she had said and claimed that she would never give false insurance information (which she did) otherwise I wouldn't have gone back. In addition, she never documented my insurance information and phone call summarizing our conversation.

I've been going to Dr. Phillips since 2001. He takes his time and is always very thorough when examining my teeth and mouth. Cheryl and Vicky at the front desk are super friendly and helpful. I always request Desirae when I need to go in for a cleaning. She is such a sweet person and does an excellent job getting my teeth nice and clean.

Dr. Perry Jue is the best dentist I have ever had. He is knowledgeable and personable and works to get you out of pain and present the best options to do so. His assistants are always kind and helpful. The hygienists are very nice and good at what they do! If you're looking for a new dentist, this is the place!
