The SSC is the decision-making council for all programs funded through the Consolidated Application (ConAp). The SSC is responsible for the development of the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), in consultation with the English Learner Advisory Committee, other relevant stakeholders and, where applicable, the Local School Leadership Council.
Alumni Associations

The Los Angeles High School Alumni Association, a California, tax-exempt, not-for-profit corporation, was founded in 1881 by the school's first graduates. It is the owner and exclusive licensee of the name Los Angeles High School Alumni Association. It was founded with the mission of maintaining through alumni fellowship the emerging ideals and aspirations of what was to become known to students who experienced it as "The Spirit of the Hill."

Los Angeles High School's Magnet program is based upon a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) theme. It is an interdisciplinary, standards-based, inquiry-based, and real-world problem-based programs that teach students about STEAM-related subjects. These programs are geared to the student's interest in science, computer technology, and mathematics.

I am honored to be here. I am a parent of two amazing boys (12 and 9 years old) and they both proudly attend LAUSD schools. I have been a teacher (13 years). I have taught K-6th grade and have been a social emotional counselor for 12 years. I have been a EL Designee and helped many students to reclassify from the English Language Development program.
AP and Honors Courses

Our Magnet Program highly encourages students to take advantage of our AP and Honors class offerings. Studies have shown that the rigor of a student's high school curriculum is the single best predictor of success in college. Student performance in college preparatory classes is the most important factor in the admission decision.
