Read below to find out what is behind authentic learning experiences. Authentic learning happens when students truly learn. They learn because of highly-qualified coaches who provide rich unique experiences. This is the opposite of a typical content-specific tutor. AWE academic coaching is a cut above all the rest.

Only when someone passionately finds the exact learning niche will parents see real results. A highly-qualified coach learned in higher education inspires students. Only when someone strives with the student will this be the student's very best tutor. Let's consider this phrase: Go West, Young Man, Go West.

Since 1998, Dr. Jerome has provided reading and writing lessons to specific types of students. These include exceptional, gifted or struggling students, as well as, visual-spatial learners (including English language learners). As a middle school teacher, she taught reading, writing, math, religion and social studies.

Please find confirmed lessons below; the dates and times show committed lessons for each student. It's obvious, everyone has a busy schedule! To help with this, students with the longest history of consecutive lessons receive top booking. Prospective clients have a better chance of securing a spot when they request services at the Katy office.

AWE lessons are student-centered. For example, even siblings receive a different set of services. Each lesson, based on developmentally appropriate activities, matches the intellectual, psychological, social and affectual stages of each student. No two students are ever alike. Students naturally become motivated during each lesson.
Books
Report
The table below shows handpicked books that have been used during AWE lessons. Most of these books (classics or award-winning books) are required reading for some schools. Each one of these books are highly recommended by Dr. Jerome from firsthand experience in using them with her students. No matter how bad a plot may seem, there is always something that can be taken away from reading.

My first peer-reviewed article was published under the tutelage of Dr. Lee Mountain while I was in graduate school at the University of Houston. She was not only my professor, but also my dissertation committee member. I will remember her impact on me for the rest of my life. In other words, during my academic studies I was fortunate enough to have astute professors who guided my work toward publication.
