We are pleased to announce the Bourbon County CDBG-CV program is now officially open to accept applications! To be eligible, your business must be located within Bourbon County but outside the city limits of City of Fort Scott. Also, feel free to pick up a paper application packet in the County Clerk's office and return to me in paper form or electronically.
Downtown Trick-or-Treat Halloween Parade

Join us for the annual Halloween parade in Downtown Fort Scott as we trick-or-treat retail stores and businesses along Main Street. Open to all ages! The actual parade will begin at 11 am with hot dogs, chips, and drinks being served afterward to those in costume. The parade trick-or-treats merchants along Main Street, starting at La Hacienda, south to 2nd Street, crossing the street then heading north back to Skubitz Plaza.

Tickets are available by calling the Fort at 620-223-0310 (with a major credit card) or by stopping by the Visitor Center on Old Fort Blvd. They are $8.00 per person and non-refundable, children 5 and under are free. It is recommended that you get your tickets early for your choice of tour times as this event frequently sells out.

The Board of Directors of the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce is comprised of five divisions: E-Community, Business Resource & Government Affairs, Workforce Development, Downtown and Member Relations. The Board of Directors consists of 15 members serving three-year terms in three classes of five members and three ex-officio members, including a representative from Bourbon County, City of Fort Scott, and USD-235.
