West Coast Driving School

West Coast Driving School offers brush-up lessons for mature drivers who would like a refresher on the latest rules of the road and defensive driving techniques. We specialize in helping older drivers who have suspended licenses as a result of medical conditions, accidents, or referral from a doctor or law enforcement.

Driving lessons are structured in a step by step approach designed to progressively build skills and confidence in the novice driver. The second lesson is primarily traffic based with emphasis on lane changing and defensive driving and vision skills. The 3rd lesson will emphasize freeway skills and further development of defensive driving.

A : Avoid accidents and potentially save lives by learning the correct techniques used in car control and defensive driving. Avoid costly moving violations by learning up to date rules of the road and traffic laws. Avoid expensive car repairs and extend the life of the car by learning how to drive in a smooth and controlled manner, lessening wear and tear on mechanical systems.

Taught summer driver ed courses at Francis Parker H.S. and afterschool DE programs at San Diego H.S. and Patrick Henry. B.A. degree in Kinesiology from University of Illinois, Chicago and graduate coursework in Biomechanics and Motor Control and Learning from San Diego State University.

West Coast Driving School currently has openings for experienced driving instructors with their own late model car with instructor brake and hold a current instructor license.Female and bilingual instructors are encouraged to apply as well as those who enjoy working with teens.
