Belmont Physical Therapy is an independently owned practice established in 1982 by Dr. Mark A. Macri. After graduating from The Ohio State University and internships in Pittsburgh and Toledo, Dr. Mark Macri accepted a position with Erie Physical Therapy Associate, Inc. as a staff therapist at Millcreek Community Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania.
While in Erie, he treated mainly orthopedic cases and gained valuable sports medicine experience, working with a semi-pro hockey team, the Erie Blades. Returning to his hometown of Martins Ferry, Ohio, he joined Martins Ferry Hospital where he developed programs on lumbo-sacral and knee rehabilitation and treatment of head, neck and temporomandibular joint dysfunction.

I’d like to say that I know the Ohio Valley well, but for years I have been totally unaware that I was driving past one of the best Physical Rehabilitation Facilities in our hometown area. With a quick online search I read that Dr. Mark Macri is one of the leading physical therapist with credentials that only 1% of all PT’s possess across America. There wasn’t any doubt that after a short consultation and within the first few visits that I was experiencing a very different healing experience.

If you're looking for a physical therapist who truly listens and cares, then this is the place for you. You're not a number here, but a person. Dr. Macri truly cares about his patients and has worked with me from barely being able to walk, to functioning like a normal person again. If I have any questions or concerns he's always willing to answer them and work with me if something isn't working right for me. He helped me find a routine that works for me and can help me maintain my health. Not to mention the staff there is extremely friendly and welcoming. All around best physical therapy office

Dr. Mark Macri has overseen my mobility since 1995 when I had a work related accident. My situation became complicated by staph and Klebsiella pneumonia at the surgical site and cause excessive scaring and lesions. Dr. Macri literally worked with me in a mind, body and spirit approach as Depression also became an obstacle. I am happy to report that with his approach and mindfulness of my abilities, we pushed though until I walked again. I couldn't walk 110 feet to my mailbox when we met. Not only did my situation improve, but I was able to redirect my life. I graduated with a Mental Health degree
