Boathouse Cantina

Was looking fwd to eating here. Sat at a bar table, was told to go to the host stand. Got ignored and super attitude when I asked to be seated. Just a bad vibe all the way around. Super grumpy employees. Went elsewhere.

We absolutely love The Boathouse! It is our favorite restaurant in Salida. The food is great and the Service is even better. Our Server Tony is our Favorite. Tony makes us feel at home when we are here. I highly recommend stopping in if you want good food.

Everything was delicious! We had the cheese curds and stuffed mushrooms apps and then got the smoked chicken tacos which were all amazing. It was very busy when we went but the bar tender did an amazing job.

The selection of food and drinks here are unique in a very good way.
The Honey bacon cashew grilled brussel sprouts are amazing, and a must have every time we go.
The Smoked chicken salad is a great mix of fresh veggie flavors accented with the perfectly smoked chicken (not too smokey, not too light on the smoke) and special house dressing.
The Raspberry mojito has a brisk flavor with a light raspberry accent, not a slushy flavored drink. If your looking for an in your face sweet raspberry, then you better order it with "extra sweet and extra raspberry added".

We had the poppers, fried mushrooms and cheese curds, chicken strips for the lil miss and the rellenos for us were Amazing good!

The food was absolutely delicious! The salsa with the chips was a bit too spicy, but flavorful! I would also recommend reserving a spot that overlooks the creek on the balcony.

This place was jumping on a Saturday afternoon in Salida Colorado. The restaurant is in a very historical building. The food was fresh and delicious. The veggie burger was off the chain. The truffle fries were excellent.
The green chili was more like soup. Not much meat and way too much broth. It had a lot of flavor but it was not what was expected.
Service was curdious and speedy, friendly and helpful.

What a terrific place to eat! We were visiting Salida and asked some locals where to go for terrific food and were told about this place. Their patio overlooks the Arkansas River and pricing on the food was very reasonable. We had both the blackened Trout and the fish tacos which was offered with a lettuce wrap if you are avoiding carbs. In a word...YUM! Support local and come check them out!

I was really impressed with the food here. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and they were delicious. I had the the grilled burger with bison patties and they were outstanding. My wife had the boatman burger and it was delicious as well. We sat riverside and the view was amazing.
