Sightline was first established as SightLine Laser Eye Center in 2000 by Dr. Lou Phillips, O.D. This was initially a referral center for local optometrists to send their patients to have refractive surgery. Due to requests by the local optometrists, in 2004 Dr. Lou hired a cataract surgeon (along with Dr. Charlene Maloney O.D.) and the business name was changed to SightLine Ophthalmic Associates to reflect the expanding surgical offerings.
