Our Story
Report
I started Peaceful Living Mental Health Counseling in 2015, after the passing of my Father, Philip Louis. Having struggled with anxiety and depression for much of his life, I set out to help others struggling with the same difficulties. My Dad went through a lot of stress and trauma in his life, from childhood through adulthood.
Therapy for Anxiety
Report
Do you constantly think "something bad is going to happen" or struggle with constant thoughts of "what if"? Everyone experiences a healthy amount of worry from time to time; however, constant anxiety can be debilitating. If left untreated, anxiety can impact your physical health, threaten your job, and make it difficult to have deep, meaningful relationships.
Therapy for Trauma
Report
Therapy can be very effective for trauma. Therapy for trauma can help whether you have a diagnosis of PTSD, Depression, Acute Stress Disorder, History of Sexual Abuse, Rape, Childhood Trauma, Panic Attacks, Anxiety, or a Dissociative Disorder. Do you often feel trapped between knowing how to feel better and acutally being able to improve?
Therapy for Children & Parents
Report
Difficult behaviors can be traumatic for the entire family. In an accepting environment, we help parents bring a mindful understanding to their child's behavior. This collaborative relationship promotes awareness and helps set realistic and achievable goals for the child. Our bottom line is to help your child succeed in the real world, while helping your family life be more peaceful.
Therapy for Teens & Tweens
Report
Adolescence is undeniably one of the most challenging periods in life. Even more so for teens now-a-days. With stressors such as social media, bullying, and unending social pressures, anyone might have difficulty. Some teens can navigate this time effectively, while others may need some help. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, nearly one out of five teenagers has a diagnosable mental health disorder.
