With over three acres of trees, shrubs, perennials and garden products, our nursery has something for everyone. Flowering and fruiting fruit trees, conifers, rhododendrons, azaleas, and hydrangeas in all colors and sizes. Our selection of perennial flowers, ornamental grasses, and temperate palms is the largest on the Oregon Coast.
Bay Bamboo nursery, nestled within the nursery itself, features over 60 varieties of bamboo, including a large selection of clumping types. We carry bagged and bulk bark, soil, compost and rock products by the pound and by the pick up load. Our pottery and container selection has pots in all shapes, sizes and colors, while our garden art selection includes many pieces by Pacific Northwest artists.

Bamboo Dave
Report
Fargesia rufa, also called the panda bamboo, is a species from China. As with all of the fargesias, this bamboo is a clumping bamboo, meaning that it does not spread rapidly with runners. Phyllostachys praecox is a running timber bamboo that originated from the Zhejiang Province of China. This bamboo can reach over feet in height, although in our coastal area, it will probably reach only 15 to 20 feet high and 1 to 2 inches in diameter.

What separates everyday landscape design from great landscape design is a knowledge of what plants grow well on that site.
