There are always one or two students who make the SAT look easy. They don't study and they don't take prep courses. They just waltz in and get a ridiculous score. And that messes it up for everyone else. Everyone else measures themselves against the one or two exceptional students and thinks they're "not good at standardized tests." We can teach you to do what those kids are intuitively doing - even if they don't realize what it is they're doing! We also put great emphasis on the performance aspect of test-taking.

About Danny
Report
Danny Strauss got a perfect score on the SAT in 2000 and founded A Perfect Score, Inc, in 2002. He has been prepping students for standardized tests for over 20 years with great success. Over that period of time, he has investigated the nature of test-taking, academic preparation, test-taking techniques, positive and negative mindsets and performance.
SAT v ACT
Report
Although the two tests cover similar ground, they each pose a unique challenge to the test-taker. The ACT gives you straight-forward problems, does not give you enough time to move at a comfortable pace. Through discussion, direct comparison, a little exploratory work and even possibly diagnostic tests, we can help you decide which test may be better for you.
SAT System
Report
Based on extensive analysis of real SATs and countless hours coaching SAT students, Danny Strauss created a unique SAT SYSTEM, which includes our 7 original workbooks. The SAT Math sections cover basic high school math.
But the test-makers don't simply test that material: they demand that you make CONNECTIONS between those subjects and understand how they're interrelated and they challenge you to identify how and when those concepts manifest themselves in REAL-WORLD scenarios.Next, they'll COMPLICATE basic math (and they're really good at this!) so that the problems don't resemble math as it's presented in school!

Rather than letting our students do the English section by ear, we start by teaching and reviewing all relevant academic content, and then quickly move on to developing the ability to classify every English problem. Once the student can classify what type of problem he or she is facing, the options for solving that type of problem follow naturally.

READING COMPREHENSION: The test does not come down to how well you "understood what you read." Rather, the test is measuring how well you can arrive at the best answer. Therefore, it is essential that you are able to make nuanced distinctions between the answer choices and are confident that you know what types of answers the test-makers are looking for.
