Other favorites have come and gone, but I'd rate Deep Roots as the best winery/wine bar in Denver right now. The space is comfortable and elegant, the wines are fantastic with an excellent food menu, and the staff is particularly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We arrived just in time for Happy Hour and started with $5 glasses (regularly $13!) of the delicious and complex 2016 Colorado Cabernet Sauvignon. This was a terrific wine. Just stopped in after hitting up the dispensary next door. Fantastic wine but, the service was even better. Thanks for making us feel welcome. Not just for that visit. I feel like we're friends already and we will see you soon. Thank you.

Food was excellent, and the vintners flight we tried was all great wines! Only compliant was that the wood boards used to hold the wines AND the charcuterie were very wobbly, made for a mini rly anxiety filled dining experience. Will definitely be back

Also, it seems as though the majority of efforts go into the wine and opening a second location, instead of insuring the food AND wine is on par, especially with the changing seasons. The atmosphere is typical for a downtown Denver spot, so theres nothing that stands out about that. Overall, Deep Roots is just

Neat, neuvo-rustic wine bar with wines on tap which makes the serving quick. Would be a great date spot. Tempranillo and pasta both fantastic, nice bar tender who really knew the wines.
