Services
Comprehensive Eye Exams
Our thorough eye exams assess visual acuity, eye health, and functional vision skills using advanced diagnostic technology. We detect early signs of eye diseases like glaucoma and macular degeneration while evaluating focusing, eye teaming, and tracking abilities. These exams ensure accurate prescriptions for glasses or contact lenses while identifying vision problems that may impact learning or daily activities.
Vision Therapy
This customized program addresses vision problems affecting learning, reading, and coordination through neuroplasticity-based techniques. We treat conditions like convergence insufficiency, amblyopia, and post-concussion visual disturbances using specialized lenses, prisms, and evidence-based exercises. Our therapy improves eye movement accuracy, focusing ability, and visual processing skills for children and adults.
Eye Disease Treatment
We diagnose and manage chronic eye conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration. Our treatment plans combine medication management, lifestyle recommendations, and advanced monitoring techniques to preserve vision and slow disease progression. Regular follow-ups ensure optimal control of conditions affecting long-term eye health.
Dry Eye Treatment
Our targeted treatments address chronic dry eye symptoms through advanced diagnostic testing and personalized care plans. We utilize artificial tears, prescription medications, and in-office procedures to improve tear production and quality. Environmental modifications and eyelid hygiene education complement our therapeutic approaches for lasting relief.
Pediatric Eye Health Care
Specialized evaluations detect vision problems that impact learning and development in children. We address amblyopia, strabismus, and functional vision disorders through corrective lenses, patching therapy, and vision training. Early intervention ensures proper visual development and prevents long-term academic or coordination challenges associated with undiagnosed vision issues.

Had a great experience and was easy to schedule my appointment using their website. Dr. Monroe was great to work with. We have an insurance that isn't accepted in many places around Iowa, but there was no issue using it at Eyecare Associates. Will definitely be coming back next year.

Well ,, my first experience at Marshalltown eye care associates was horrible, I don't want to give a poor review on the eye doctor ( she was great )
Now the other staff, Treated me horrible, so very disrespectful towards me I walked out. The make staff there told me they didn't want my business. The argument was about what my insurance would pay for. Later I received a phone call from the doctor there wanting to hear me on the incident. She asked me to co.e back for more testing and said she would follow up on the incident , I agreed to see her. Bottom line is , if I was treated in that manner

Everyone was friendly and helpful. I was there for an emergent problem and saw Dr. Edwards, whom I had not seen before. He was friendly, professional, and thorough, and he explained everything to me carefully. I brought up a concern about these environment, and he was glad to know about it and said he would take care of it immediately. I have had similar experiences with Dr. Chadderdon, my regular doctor, and Dr. Feldman, who saw me earlier this year for another emergent problem.

Very through with exams. Everyone is so nice. They don’t make you wait between tests so your appointment is a reasonable time. I’ve been going here about 25 years. Always great care!
