Founded in 1974, Callaway was the first winery to open it's doors in the Temecula Valley. Approachable, flavorful and extremely well-balanced wines are synonymous with the Callaway name. His father worked for the family firm which owned eight textile mills in the town. Young Ely's success in business began at the early age of ten, when he used money he had earned from delivering magazines to lease an acre of land on which he planted peach trees. He made more than $700 from his first crop.

At one of the most relaxing, tranquil and truly unique Temecula winery restaurants, guests can enjoy a seasonal array of fresh, farm-to-table meals, made from scratch. Many of the ingredients used by the restaurant come from our greenhouse and garden when available, otherwise we source, and support, seasonal, sustainable food from local farmers.
