Crescent Lotus Dance Studio has been a cornerstone of the New Orleans dance community since its founding in February 2007. Our mission is to create a sanctuary where individuals of all backgrounds and experience levels can explore movement, build confidence, and connect through the transformative power of dance. We offer a diverse range of adult-focused classes including Belly Dance, Pole Flow, Salsa, and Twerk Church, taught by professional instructors committed to fostering a safe, inclusive environment.As a founding member of the New Orleans Dance Network and sister studio to Fat Chance Belly Dance, we combine technical expertise with creative expression to help students discover their unique voice. Belly Dance
Our Belly Dance classes teach traditional MENAHT techniques with options for beginners through advanced students. Classes focus on isolations, shimmies, and fluid movements that build core strength and cultural appreciation. Students learn both solo and group choreography while connecting with the rich history of this expressive art form.
Pole Dance
Pole Dance & Flow classes combine strength training with artistic movement. Students learn spins, climbs, and transitions while building upper body strength and confidence. Classes include conditioning elements and creative choreography that emphasize both technical skill and personal expression in a supportive environment.
Twerk Church
Twerk Church sessions blend New Orleans bounce culture with fitness and self-expression. Instructors guide students through hip isolations, body waves, and floor work that improve coordination and body confidence. This high-energy class celebrates individuality while building cardiovascular endurance through rhythmic, percussive movements.
Salsa Classes
Our Salsa program includes partner work, ladies styling, and footwork fundamentals. Students learn timing, connection, and styling techniques for social dancing. The curriculum progresses from basic turns to complex combinations, emphasizing musicality and cultural context within a welcoming, social atmosphere.
Dancemeditation
Dancemeditation sessions combine mindfulness with freeform movement to reduce stress and enhance body awareness. Guided classes use breathwork and improvisation to help participants connect with their emotions physically. This practice promotes mental clarity and emotional release through non-judgmental, intuitive movement patterns.

So much fun! We did a pole dancing class for a bachelorette party and would highly recommend this place. It was not awkward and a true blast!

We came here today and did the pole dancing. It was one of the funniest experiences ever. The instructor was hilarious. She took her time to teach us, gave us an overview of the area and places for us to visit, and she was just all around GREAT! I'll definitely visit again the next time I'm in New Orleans !

Kryss is an amazing teacher! I can't say enough good things about this studio. I have met a wonderful. beautiful tribe of people that are fun, creative, loving, and supportive. I've been taking classes for about 6 years. It is the best decision I made for myself and my physical and mental health! I would highly encourage anyone thinking about dancing to try out Crescent Lotus.
