Heather and Heidi both started out at a large retail chain. They worked side by side in a busy grooming salon. Heather went off to a private grooming salon and became the salon manager. Heidi became the salon manager at the large retail store. Both decided that it was time for a change and that is how Pet Strands Grooming was formed.
There is 20 years of grooming experience between the two of them. Tania is one of our pet stylists. She loves transforming pets from messy to magnificent. Tania was a dog trainer before becoming a groomer which helps her understand dog behavior while grooming. Safety is our number one priority at Pet Strands Grooming.

Current Vaccinations/Veterinarian Information: By signing/initialing this contract, pet owners verify their pets are current on all age-appropriate vaccinations recommended by your veterinarian and required by law. Proof of vaccination or current titer testing shall be provided to Pet Strands Grooming upon request, as well as current veterinarian information.

Report
Prices are based on good coat condition. Additional fees may be charged for poor coat condition or additional services. Aggressive or pets not accustom to handling in a grooming setting may be charged a handling fee. You will be charged this fee if you cancel the day of your appointment. No-shows will also be charged.

Most of the time, it takes two people to work on a cat because one person needs to hold the cat and keep it calm, while the other does the actual grooming. Shaving the hair can permanently damage the coat. The coat my not grow back properly. It can grow back coarse, patchy, dull, wispy or not at all.
Pet Grooming School
Report
A four week course for a Pet Grooming Assistant Certificate. The course fee is $1000. This course covers the basics of grooming with course work, demonstrations and hands on training. The Pet Grooming Assistant course does not include hair cutting instruction. An eight week course for a Pet Grooming Certificate The course fee is $2500.
