The idea of HUM was born out of Walter's personal struggle with his skin and breakouts. Years of trying topical products and prescription drugs had literally left him scarred emotionally and physically. Many of the drugs prescribed worked only on a temporary basis and the breakouts returned year after year.

This year, our transition to 100% ocean bound plastic bottles will prevent 6 million water bottles from entering the ocean. By 2025, it is our goal to prevent 50 million+ water bottles and eliminate single use plastic altogether. Ocean bound plastic is created from plastic waste that would otherwise end up in the ocean.
