We specialize in building a community of dancers. Whether you're interested in Latin, ballroom, salsa, swing, tango, or wedding dance lessons, we are here to help you. We offer group classes, private lessons and specialized workshops for all ages. Shimkiri is an International Latin dancer who is the undefeated Edison Ballroom Champion, Vice-Champion of the NJ Open Rising Star Latin and finalist in many US competitions.
Shimkiri was an inspired dancer at the age of 3! Throughout her childhood, she took ballet, tap and gymnastics. She fell in love with ballroom dancing when her grandparents gave her video tapes of America's Ballroom Challenge from PBS! Shimkiri has trained with many world-renown coaches and champions, especially Shirley Ballas, Maria Manusova and Colin James.

Our private lessons give you personal instruction in our shared ballroom. This type of lesson is helpful for you or you and your dance partner if you are learning for a special event or want to improve your dancing at a faster pace. Private lessons aren't just for the pros. If you're new, but still want that individual attention to get to your ideal level, we have options for you!

Our mission is to personalize your first dance to your unique style and wedding dance goals. No matter if you want a classical first dance or a choreographed show-stopper, we collaborate to leave your guests in awe.
Rentals

We offer a unique rental space to the community for dance rehearsals and special events. If you're looking to host a reception, birthday party, baby shower or any event, our venue is perfect. Jersey City Ballroom is located in downtown Jersey City within the Brunswick Center.
Our space has a grand feel and includes high ceilings with chic chandeliers, large windows with plenty of natural light, beautiful hardwood floors, and state of the art sound.Receptions, birthday parties and other special events are welcome in our space. Our ballroom is over 1600 square feet, however we also have a retractable divider that will create a community room on one side of the ballroom (Ballroom B, approximately 800 square feet).
