Wedding Dance Lessons

Custom choreography and instruction for wedding couples. Our specialists create routines matching your song choice and experience level. The program includes timing, footwork, and partner connection training. Recognized by The Knot awards, we ensure memorable performances with stress-free preparation and flexible scheduling.

Competitive Dance Training

Professional coaching for competitive dancers at all levels. Our instructors develop technical proficiency, performance quality, and competition strategy. Training includes syllabus work, choreography, and mock competitions. The program has produced multiple champions in international Latin and Ballroom divisions.

Group Dance Classes

Structured classes for social dancers with progressive skill development. Offered in Bronze to Gold levels, covering Latin, Ballroom, and Swing styles. Sessions focus on partner connection, musicality, and social dancing etiquette. No partner required with rotating partner system.

Children's Dance Programs

Three-time Austrian Latin Champion and Dancing With The Stars Austria professional. 25+ years dance experience including Broadway and Alvin Ailey Dance Company. Specializes in competitive Latin instruction.

Peruvian-born Salsa and Bachata specialist with Arthur Murray teaching background. Competes professionally in International Latin. Develops curriculum for Latin dance programs and children's classes.

Do you offer wedding dance lessons for first-time dancers?

Yes, our award-winning wedding dance program caters to all experience levels. Instructors create customized routines based on your song choice and comfort level with no prior experience required.

Can I take dance lessons without a partner?

Absolutely! Our group classes use partner rotation, and private lessons include instructor partnering. Many students attend solo and develop dance skills while meeting new people.

What dance styles are available for competitive training?

We offer International Latin and Standard, American Rhythm and Smooth, plus specialty styles like Salsa, Bachata, and Argentine Tango for competitive dancers at all levels.

Do you have dance classes for children?

Yes, our children's program introduces dance fundamentals through age-appropriate activities. Classes develop coordination and musicality for kids aged 3-9 with no prior experience needed.

Is your studio available for event rentals?

Our elegant ballroom space is available for rehearsals, parties, and community events. Features include professional dance flooring, sound system, and flexible seating arrangements.

What are your cancellation policies for dance lessons?

Private lessons require 48-hour notice for rescheduling. Group classes need 5-hour notice. Cancellations within these windows result in lost session credits with no exceptions.

JC Ballroom is the absolute BEST!!! My husband and I had never danced before but wanted to do a cute First Dance for our wedding reception. Werner was SO incredibly patient with us and taught us the routine step by step. After 10 lessons, we were so comfortable and confident in our performance! Our wedding guests LOVED the dance routine and thought we were professionals LOL!

Werner and the JC Ballroom team are so encouraging and kind. Werner totally understood our dance level and made sure our routine would be challenging and exciting, but also super do-able for beginners! We loved every lesson

Love love love Dylan and all instructors here. We've booked the package for our wedding first dance choreography. Little did we know 2020 and Covid was going to hit us when we first started late fall 2019. Our third to last dance lesson was in March 2020 and pandemic happened. So we had to cancel the wedding and rescheduled so many times over the past 2 years. We've officially celebrated our big day with family and friends in Sept 2021! Thanks to Dylan's lessons, we didn't make a fool of ourselves:) would definitely recommend this studio to anyone else in the neighborhood!!

JC Ballroom has transformed my life and the way I dance so positively in the 6 months I've been dancing with them. I kid you not when I say was the clumsiest when I first started out in late July, but under the great instruction of all the wonderful teachers (Paz, Werner, Shimkiri, Dylan, & Dennis) I've improved so drastically. If you're considering starting at JC Ballroom, do it!!! You're only going to get better. Every teacher is supportive in every way possible, and I truly am in great hands. They genuinely care about you, and cater to people of all age groups and abilities

JC ballroom is the best! My husband and I took dance lessons here to prepare for our first dance at our wedding - and I am so glad we did! We danced to a Sinatra song and our guests cheered and clapped the whole time. Dylan was our instructor and choreographed the dance for us in a way that was approachable to beginners while also engaging and energetic. We had a great time during our private lessons - Dylan was professional, patient, and his sense of humor instantly put us at ease. He took two people who didn't know what they were doing and translated that into a beautiful first dance that

Jersey City Ballroom is THE BEST. Our first dance was 100% the best part of our wedding - people were cheering and SO impressed with our moves. We also had a crazy mash up request [Dave Matthews into Thriller...!] and JCB didn't bat an eye. Dylan was so excited to teach us to dance and came up with the best routine ever. Both my husband and I had never danced before and I believe we would have gotten 10's had our wedding guests gotten scorecards. Carla at the desk was SO easy to work with in terms of scheduling and accommodating our crazy schedule. THANK YOU DYLAN AND CARLA - you are the best!

My husband and I came to JC Ballroom for dance lessons and choreography for our wedding's first dance (September 2021). Dylan was our instructor, he is so fun, patient, and collaborated with us on what seemed possible and what wasn't. My husband has two left feet when it comes to ballroom and Dylan made him into a fair dancer! Our dance went off without a hitch and everyone was still talking about it a month afterwards! The whole JC Ballroom team is amazing, I highly recommend coming here!
