Cluster Tutoring Program
An intensive reading initiative is the newest addition to the Cluster Tutoring program. Besides holding evening tutoring three nights a week, Cluster now offers a one-hour session. Aliyah Washington hopes her years at Cluster Tutoring serve her in her chosen future profession working in a police department.

Aliyah, the Thursday night program assistant, has. All funds help us provide one-to-one tutoring and mentoring for 115 kids from the Austin neighborhood on Chicago's west side. Your donations are greatly appreciated and 100% tax deductible. Cluster Tutoring is now running three evenings a week. We could still use more volunteers.

STUDENTS IN CLUSTER TUTORING range from straight-A, honor roll kids to those who struggle with the basics of math and reading. At Cluster we've had success with both types of students. Returning students may remain with the program through grade 12. Cluster encourages strong parental involvement in the tutoring program and requires consistent student attendance.

Volunteer
Report
Volunteer tutors are the lifeblood of Cluster Tutoring. New volunteers are always needed to work one-to-one with students from the Austin community. Tutors are matched with a student and work with that same student every week during the school year on reading, homework and other enrichment activities.
