L/A Community Acupuncture
In 2009, I received a four-year Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAcOM) from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. Over the past ten years of practice, I've given more than 30,000 acupuncture treatments and I've prescribed countless herbal formulas.

My diagnostic and treatment skillset has been greatly enhanced by treating patients in the community setting - because I've had the opportunity to treat such a wide variety of people, there's little I haven't seen, and little I haven't figured out how to treat.Providing affordable care and raising awareness of the benefits of acupuncture and plant medicine gives me a sense of purpose and keeps me connected to my community.

About Acupuncture
Report
Practiced in China and other Asian countries for thousands of years, acupuncture is a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine (which includes Chinese herbal medicine, moxibustion, and qi gong). Acupuncture involves stimulating specific points along meridians (also called "channels") to help provide relief from ailments that affect the body/mind.

I did not attend POCA Tech, but if the school had been around when I decided to study acupuncture formally, I would have gone in a heartbeat. Instead of listing all the reasons why I wouldn't choose other schools - I don't want to bash, as there are plenty of schools that offer a good education - here are the reasons why I stand behind POCA Tech.

L/A Community Acupuncture is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The clinic's costs are covered by our reduced-rate treatment fees, as well as donations. This helps us concentrate on providing care rather than spending countless hours writing grants that are already scarce and desperately needed by other organizations.
