A three is definitely what this place deserves. Our first time here. We walked in every table was dirty with no customers at the tables. The lady was very sweet and kind she welcomed us with a smile. Once we were seated it took us about 5 minutes to get a menu. Ten minutes to order a drink and food. Food took about thirty minutes. The Tom Kha soup is the absolute best so delicious we ordered a level 7 spice yum! Next came our pad thai noodles and the Hungry baby got his food Last, five minutes after we had our food. Food is terrific! We ordered Pad Wan Sen with chicken, and yellow curry with shrimp. We couldn't finish it, but we tried real hard. OMG so good! The servers knew exactly when to come to the table with smiles and polite conversation. They also helped with the choice we made for dinner. Great experience all around! Don't let this small place fool you. I will definitely be back (or order from DoorDash)!

My boyfriend and I ate here last night and it was amazing! We ordered crab Rangoon, pineapple fried rice, and a chicken dish. The pineapple fried rice was enough to feed 2 people and they were generous with how many shrimp they put in the dish. The food was delicious and the staff was so friendly! Definitely recommend!

This place gets 5-stars for the service alone! I saw the staff hustling to keep up with to-go orders yet they still presented themselves with a welcoming smile for our small trio dining in.

Whenever we visit my aunt in Carlsbad, we always take her to a different restaurant. She was craving Thai and said she had passed by Onny's before and never tried it. Hence we took her here and it was the first time for us all.
Onny's is in the corner of a shopping center right across from a Mexican restaurant with lots of parking. The restaurant itself is quaint, beautifully decorated and we were welcomed by a friendly hostess/server.
We shared the fried springrolls- perfectly crisp, filled with veggies and not greasy at all. It came witha dipping sauce which complemented it well.

I really wish I could give them 5 stars; their food absolutely deserves it. The best Thai that I've ever experienced.
Everything is made fresh, and the flavor is fantastic, especially the tofu. The tofu has this wonderful grilled/smokey taste that I can't get enough of.
The customer service, however, consistently frustrates me. If it weren't for the quality of the food, I wouldn't bother returning. But again, their food has me hooked.

We were hungry for Thai food and this place was a delightful discovery on a Thusday evening. Best crab rangoon ever. And the chicken Satay was so tender it melted in your mouth. My husband had the yellow curry- he had asked for a 4 spicy. When he tasted he wanted it with more spice- so the owner came out with a tray of 4 little cups and explained what each one was, and allowed my husband to spice it himself. He told her how much he added and she said next time he could ask for a 6 spice level. We will be back for lunch next time. The decor was inviting and lovely hand painted wall with scenes

I cannot believe it took me five years to stop in here and have a meal.
The Hubby and I came in last Friday night (8/27/21) for date night. Everything was so good! I ordered my Laarp "Thai spicy", and for the first time since I left Thailand, i didn't have to reach for the caddy of chilies and hot sauces.
Our waitress was the sweetest, friendliest, and most up-beat person I've ever met. She was a pure joy!
Our entire experience was wonderful! We will be returning again soon and often. Bravo, Onny's!

This place never disappoints! I've ordered from them via Grubhub during covid, today I took my daughter there for lunch. She had the orange chicken, looked at me and said, "this is the best orange chicken I've ever had." That says a lot. The Tom Kah soup with shrimp was amazing. The owners were absolutely lovely, my daughter even bought a cute Thai style bag from Onny, super sweet! We will be back!

Omg this place is fabulous. The staff are outstanding and so personable. The food complements the energy of the staff. So delicious. I had tofu Tom Kha soup, my favorite Thai dish, and it did not disappoint. Hubby had beef red curry and he was extremely happy with his pick. We also ordered mango with sticky rice to take home, I'm sure I won't be disappointed!
The restaurant is super cute with so many Thai details and wonderful spirit. My favorite were the menus as photo albums of Thailand. Really wants to make me travel back to south east Asia to visit my family.

First time here! So fortunate to have such an amazing Thai place right down the street. The owners Bill & Onny are very nice, and made us feel very welcome.
Sophie's favorite dish was the Pad Thai, and she's a huge stickler when it comes to her Pad Thai! Very delicious. My favorite was the Tamarind Shrimp. The sauce was so good, that I unabashedly asked for a container to bring the sauce home.
We will be back!

Overpriced food with small portions. I never ordered from a Thai restaurant for a soup costing $15 and they say Large. It was actually a medium size to small container. When put into a small bowl it was good for only two portions. -so to confirm it's not a large portion.
The vegetables in the Tum ka soup were not really the norm.... Broccoli and carrots that looked like from a frozen bag?

I really try not to review less than 3 stars for local restaurants, especially during a pandemic, but here we are.
Drove the half hour to Onny to try the food. We were encouraged by the free thai tea at check in. Go in to order and ask about the thai tea. Owner (?) lady says that it's for dine in only. I was actually stupefied, literally looking around the restaurant where all the chairs are placed on top of tables etc. LOL. I mean, we would not dine in during this time, and to be honest, even take out/delivery is iffy for us. But yeah, kinda sucky that they won't honor it, but that

First time here and it was more than we could ask for in flavor and freshness! Had the coconut milk soup.. delicious! My husband had the asparagus and shrimp dish and I had the orange chicken and we both had brown rice. Plenty of food to take home leftovers but was so good because it was fresh ingredients. You can sure tell the difference compared to another Thai restaurant nearby. We will only come here now. We had the fried banana with coconut ice cream for dessert and once again, they outdid themselves! We'll be back!

We dined in a couple of weeks ago but as of now, they are only doing take out due to the restrictions on indoor dining again. Take out is not a bad idea because when we did dine in, they did not run the AC & we were burning up!

On the floor service here has always been really quick, but the servers can only go as fast as the kitchen. Appetizers come out fairly quickly, however the main dishes take a little longer than normal wait time. The quality of the food is delicious so if they need to take more time in the kitchen to consistently produce quality dishes than I get that. Otherwise the speed of the kitchen is my only complaint on the main dishes.

It is really hard to find good Thai food, and this place is it. Ordered just about everything and always left happy. Great flavors, big portions for the price! And the owner is always running around cooking, taking orders, ringing people up. Don’t miss out on the coconut soup or the mango sticky rice if it’s in season!

Very busy little Thai restaurant. Green Curry was very delicious, nice spice with a good heat but not overwhelming. The lunch menu for around $10.00 is well priced, served with a side salad or egg roll. Added Thai Iced Coffee for $3.00. Always delicious with the spicy curry. Nice outside patio if you have your puppy with you as it is right next to the local Vet. This was my first visit so I will have to try other things. Family run so the staff is small so a little bit of a wait but not unreasonable for noon time. Wait staff checked with me at least three times to see if I was happy or needed anything
