About
Report
After serving in the Army, Bill Baker started working with his father-in-law in the early 1950s in Eugene, Oregon in a custom boot shop and shoe repair store known as Purkey's Shoes. Bill's brother Dave Baker left the Air Force in the early '60s and started helping his brother in the store. When Dave finished with the Air Force, Bill and Dave bought Purkey's Shoes and renamed it Baker's Shoes after the two brothers.
Custom Boot Options
Report
White's custom, handmade-to-order boots are the kind of boots you'll be in for a lifetime. You'll carefully choose the components of your boots, which will then be hand stitched and hand built by our seasoned craftsmen. With completely rebuildable construction for every custom pair and a building process that has been refined for generations, Baker's is in the business of supplying boots that will wear well through the seasons of your life.
Returns / Exchanges
Report
Every boot is as unique as the wearer itself. Sometimes, a boot just doesn't work! That's why we always strive to get you in the perfect boot, whether it means getting you something brand new, or bumping you up a size. Please do not wear your new boots outside unless you are sure they fit. This is the best way to ensure your boots are returnable if the fit isn't what you were looking for.
Made-to-order / Custom Boot Policy
Report
Custom boot orders are non-returnable unless approved by management and may be subject to a 30% restocking fee. We will not process your order until your measurements and tracings have been received and evaluated. In addition, we will also not process your order until you confirm your sizing from our evaluations.
Foot Measuring
Report
While still seated, measure your foot with a cloth or paper measure tape as shown in the downloadable diagram below. Hold the tape on the big knuckle of your big toe, called the ball joint, and pull it down across the bottom of your foot to the little knuckle, little ball joint, then back up to the starting point, so that you get the full circumference of your foot.
