The preschool was started by St. Gregory the Great Church in an effort to reach out to the community. The program began with one multi-age classroom composed of three and four year old children. There was one head teacher, two assistants, and a director. Our school is a non profit institution and is licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.
The philosophy of the school is still to provide a developmentally appropriate environment for children and to assist parents in their parenting skills within a safe, loving and nurturing Christian environment that fosters a love of learning.

We have been fortunate to have outside programs come on site to offer our preschoolers an opportunity to experience a variety of activities. Parents like the convenience of the onsite programs. Children like the familiarity of the building and classmates. If you would like your child to experience new activities, why not give one of these classes a try?

Saint Gregory the Great provides tuition options to parents through Smart Tuition, a tuition based management company that is set up exclusively to manage the school's financial needs by receiving payments, processing them, and depositing funds into the school's bank account.

Saint Gregory the Great PTA is an integral part of our school. Its main role is to build a strong working relationship among parents, teachers, and school in support of our preschoolers. This can include coordinating volunteers, organizing parent education events, raising funds for everything from playground equipment to student programs that will benefit the school and enrich our children's learning experiences.
