Garden Cottages

Built in 1982, these cottages have large front porches with rocking chairs overlooking the beautiful gardens. The garden cottages consist of 2 cottages next to each other, each cottage having two guest rooms with private baths and porches across the front. These rooms are decorated with fine antiques and reproduction furnishings and features luxurious amenities.
Pond Cottage

This lovely single-story cottage was constructed from 1993-1994. There is a porch across the back with rocking chairs, where one can spend time relaxing while looking out over the pond, where the Monmouth ducks waddle and paddle; the romantic bridge, where couple after couple has become engaged; and our majestic sanctuary, styled as a Greco-Roman Palladian Temple.

Overnight stays include a plated and served full Southern Breakfast from 7am to 10am. This area was constructed over the original location of Monmouth's Stables and has a lovely covered patio for those wishing to dine al fresco. Two eggs cooked to your liking, grits, biscuit & your choice of bacon daily, ham on Monday, Wednesday & Friday, sausage on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday.

At Restaurant 1818 you will dine in what was originally the Men's and Ladies' Parlors of the Main House. These two parlors are adorned with authentic period crystal gasoliers. These impressive reproduction chandeliers and wall sconces were custom made for Monmouth by the artisans at Waterford Crystal in Ireland.
