Safeway Driving School is the oldest and largest driving school in Southern Nevada. The school was founded in 1991 and trained thousands of people to obtain their driver's license and become safe defensive drivers. We have been here long enough to brag about generations of family members being trained and returning to Safeway Driving School.

This program is designed and required for teens under 18 years who desire to obtain a driver's license in the State of Nevada. The minimum age is 15 years for attendance. The driver education course is preferred to be taken first because it prepares the student for the Department of Motor Vehicles written test to obtain the learner's permit.

My 16-year old wants to get his permit first and attend the driver education course later. Nevada Law states that the Driver Education course must be completed before the license issued. The school only recommends that the student learn the theory of driving before getting behind the wheel. The student may bring a lunch or money to purchase lunch at a nearby fast-food restaurant.
