NY Tails was founded in 2009 by Kira and Paulo Rocha, an animal loving couple that decided to turn their passion for dogs into a career. Paulo has over 15 years of professional experience working with dogs, while Kira's expertise started in childhood having grown up in a family of breeders.
Together, they have found the perfect balance between following their dreams and providing a high standard of service for the ever growing community of pet owners right here in New York City.A strong sense of family and values is at the core of their lifestyle, and it shows in their approach towards clients, pets, dog walkers, and everyone involved with the company.

Most importantly, our dog walkers share our love for pets and our commitment to our clients. In 2019 I moved to NYC. Apart from walking dogs I also attend a college. Before joining NY Tails I already have had experience watching my friends dogs, and I own a cat. I love being around dogs, they fill me with love and energy.
Safety

Safety is extremely important to us, that's why we use security collars on all our walks. These collars have a flexible, relaxed fit and a soft texture that won't bother your pup in any way. They only become effectively tightened if your dog's regular collar or harness fails or comes off, ensuring their safety while keeping them leashed and secured at all times.

We cater all our services to each dog depending on their personalities and energy levels. We suggest trying our group walks for proper socialization, however occasionally group walks might not be available (i.e: on higher floor walk ups, building regulations, specific time frames, aggressive behavior, senior dogs or small puppies, and on days when group buddies don't need walks).

From quick relief outings to longer afternoon strolls, we are pleased to walk your pup when your busy New York life takes you anywhere but home. Just need some extra hands? New York Tails is also here if you simply want to gift your doggie some quality time outdoors. Our small groups consist of no more than 4 pups, and we recommend these walks for healthy, social dogs.
