When I opened the package and pulled out this jacket, the outer material of this windbreaker felt so strangely light, I was afraid I would poke my finger right through it. I mean, it feels thinner than the plastic bags in the supermarket produce section. But the material is surprisingly strong, the jacket is lined, and it has all kinds of fun little things to explore.
This is a beautiful yet versatile jacket, and the size is just right. I chose the black rather than silver so that I could wear it anywhere (and pack less). Although "metallic" is in the name, the black color is more of a satin finish. This jacket with a drawstring waist has a unique cut that can keep you dry on a misty hike through the woods.
